About The Gaint Asian Mantis
The Giant Asian Mantis (Hierodula membranacea) is one of the largest mantis species in the world, capable of reaching lengths of up to 3.5 inches. Known for their strong feeding response and hardy nature, they are considered an excellent species for beginners. These mantises are enthusiastic hunters and will readily accept a wide variety of prey items.
This species is highly cannibalistic and should always be housed individually, even as juveniles.
This species is not native to the United States and must never be released into the wild.
